With donkeys
Hiking at donkey pace, without burden and haste.
The donkeys, our friendly companions, carry our equipment.
Children can ride them (maximum 40kg!).
Small and large breaks are planned for all hikes.
A donkey accompanies two adults and up to two children
During the first half an hour, guests and donkeys make friends by petting, grooming and saddling up.
In the valley of the mulberry trees
Sofia's donkeys lead you into the wild hinterland of the Monchique Mountains.
You will pass through cistus and strawberry trees, pine and eucalyptus forests alternate in a gentle up and down with grain fields and meadows.
A longer hike through a small overgrown valley to an idyllic bathing lake is also possible.

Höhenweg to the old town and Maurenburg
After the small overgrown valley up to the ridge with a great, fantastic view of the Monchique Mountains (east) and the small town of Aljezur with Maurenburg (west). With this magnificent view we hike for a good while at the top until the path leads down to farmland in the river valley, along the Aljezur river, through a reed tunnel we finally reach the old town.

Full moon hike with donkeys
D.Through a small valley, densely overgrown, a loud rushing brook. Later we reach the cliff dunes, which we follow to the coast to enjoy the sunset with a beautiful view. We then continue south along the cliffs and through the dunes to Praia Vale dos Homens beach.
