Paddling through the lonely river valley, the tide current guides you past sandbanks, salt marshes and old tide mills to the abandoned river port of Casa Branca, 13 km upriver.

After the (approx.) three-hour tour, you will be picked up and brought back to the starting point.

At Vila Nova de Milfontes, the influence of the sea is so strong that the Mira expands into a broad stream at high tide.

When the tide is low you glide through extensive silt landscapes. Keep an eye out for crabs, clams, and foraging sea birds.
